Position Purpose Under the direction of the Assistant Director, this position is responsible for maintaining and building positive relationships with participants, families, and partner schools, as well as promoting high school academic achievement and post-secondary success for program participants. This position develops and teaches college success courses and plans career/cultural workshops. These responsibilities require strong organizational abilities and coordination of student workers and temporary staff, as well as coordination with other programs and organizations like outreach, colleges, universities, community-based organizations, social service agencies, and other Evergreen programs and offices. The positions require commuting between work sites, including Evergreen, schools, agencies, and cultural events. These are two full-time, overtime eligible project positions with The Evergreen State College. One position is grant funded by a US Department of Education Upward Bound Classic grant through May 31, 2022 and dependent on continued federal funding. The other is grant funded by a US Department of Education Upward Bound Math-Science grant through August 31, 2022 and dependent on continued federal funding. These positions are exempt from state Civil Service rules. Salary and Benefits: $3,589 – $3,734 per month of full-time work + excellent benefits including paid sick and vacation leave; paid campus holidays; a generous medical, dental, life, and disability insurance package; and a tuition waiver program.
