Elon University is currently accepting applications for a Special Assistant to the Provost to support the Provost through administrative, collaborative, communication and organizational management. This is a high energy and fast-paced position intending to support the Provost in most aspects of responsibilities to ensure that the Division of Academic Affairs functions at a high level in collaboration and coordination with other University Divisions as well as the constituent components of the Division.
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years’ experience related to the area of assignment required; Master’s or professional degree with experience or equivalent combination of training and experience are preferred. This position requires a good understanding of the goals and mission of the Division and a thorough understanding of programs and units within the Division.
The Special Assistant to the Provost works closely with the school/College offices to ensure routine personnel operations are maintained efficiently. This position requires strict confidentiality with sensitivity to critical, private and proprietary information that will be accessed while exercising the duties and responsibilities of this position.
