Job Summary:
Responsible for the daily management and operation of the financial aid processing center fiscal operations division including direct loans, pell grant, scholarships and state aid and return of title IV funds (R2T4). Provide daily oversight of staff, including time management, training, mentoring and performance evaluation. Daily operational tasks include processing PLUS loans, private loans, direct loan origination, disbursement and reconciliation reporting.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences, public administration, business or a related field.

3 years related experience.

Ability to read and interpret Title IV federal student aid regulations and apply them to college processes as appropriate.

Knowledge of principles of supervision, operations, and training, including management of a complex, multi-staff environment.

Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to and the ability to work with diverse populations.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive communications with students, parents, employees and external agencies.

Ability to use initiative and resourcefulness in planning work assignments and in implementing long-range program improvements.

Ability to carry out very complex assignments without detailed instructions.

Ability to analyze and define complex organizational, policy or procedural problems, collect and evaluate data, draw valid conclusions and project consequences of various alternative courses of action.

Operational knowledge of computer programs including skills in Word, Excel, Access COD, NSLDS, IFAP, FAA, access to CPS online, and Opennet.
