Petersen Farms, Inc. is a family owned hybrid seed corn production farm. Founded in 1941 by (father and son) Elmer and Don Petersen in Grand Island, Nebraska, by 1950, the farm began hybrid seed corn production as a Hall County, Nebraska contract grower for Prairie Valley Hybrids. In 1958 Elmer and Don Petersen – along with a handful of other Nebraska producers – helped found NC+ Hybrids, which found success as a leading Nebraska production and research company and would eventually be acquired by Monsanto in 2005. Since that time we have continued doing what we love, producing hybrid seed corn for our customers and striving to give them an edge by providing quality product at competitive rates.
