KILLINGLY PUBLIC SCHOOLS 2021-22 SCHOOL YEAR TRANSPORTATION SUPERVISOR Killingly Public Schools is seeking an individual skilled in bus routing, management, problem-solving, and communication. The position is 12 months with benefits. Effective start date is July 1, 2021. Salary: $87,229.00. Primary Requirements: Ability to interact effectively with public and school administration. Three to five (3-5) years' experience in transportation systems, preferably in school systems. Two years college preferred. Assure compliance with all state laws and regulations regarding school transportation. Maintain safety standards in compliance with state and insurance regulations and ability to maintain a program of preventive safety measures. Develop and administer a transportation program to meet all the requirements of the daily instructional program and extra-curricular activities, including preparing bus routes and schedules for all public and nonpublic schools in the district. Prepare annual transportation department budget. Partner with Manager of Business Affairs to develop recommendations for future equipment, transportation, and personnel needs. Supervise the operation of a complete maintenance garage, maintenance of all district-owned equipment, and develop plans for preventive maintenance. Complete required reporting (state, insurance, district, etc.) in a timely and accurate manner. Take an active role/partnering in solving discipline problems occurring on school buses. Act as liaison with parents for complaints and special requests.
