Job Description

The Senior Quality Engineer is responsible for support and improvement of Low Voltage Drives and Printed Circuit Board manufacturing operations. This includes daily line support providing issue resolution, quality planning, process audits and proactive continuous improvement activities to insure quality levels meet internal and external customer expectations. The Senior Quality Engineer is responsible for leading efforts to monitor, analyze and improve Mequon Operations metrics for quality. They are also an active participant in directing, controlling, and analyzing the operations Quality Management Systems.  The Senior Quality Engineer will, through data analysis identify strategic opportunities for improvement and focus on driving resolution.  They will need to coordinate with outside groups including Development Engineering, Global Quality, Supplier Quality and other groups as needed to ensure projects are driven to completion.FunctionalDrive efforts to improve internal defects per unit, external Parts Per Million, Reduce Scrap and improve overall qualityEstablish appropriate inspection\test methods to validate product and process characteristicsDevelop and evaluate processes using capability studies, process control plans, analysis of out-of-control conditions and process audits with objective to improve process performanceResponsible for investigating product quality issues providing appropriate containmentUses standard problem solving techniques and tools to lead the team to identify root cause and develop corrective actionsMentor junior engineers on problem solving techniques and toolsSupport New Product Introduction processDrive resolution of customer issues through utilization of proper problem solving tools such as 8D, Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA), A3 structured problem solvingEstablish quality operating rhythm around continuous improvement by developing target goals and working directly with associates, engineers and management to drive resultsMaintain working relationship with business units, customer service, supplier quality, manufacturing engineering, and production associatesPrepare, maintain, and present quality reports to multiple levels of the organizationParticipate with the team to develop, modify, maintain, and follow quality standards as established by the Rockwell QMS system in accordance with ISO 9001:2015LeadershipConducts tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations (state/federal laws, ISO9001, ISO14000, etc.) as well as Rockwell Automation policies and proceduresAble to with minimal supervisionSupports Rockwell's vision, values, and direction; demonstrates ability to gain support; acknowledges others' effort and accomplishments, demonstrates a willing spirit, a sense of optimism, ownership and commitmentBalances many priorities and competing demands effectively; modifies own work activities and methods to eliminate wasted effort and inefficient methods; stays focusedBe proactive and use good problem solving skills and judgment as requiredRecognizes who customers are, both internally and externally; responds to the unique needs of individual customer contacts; seeks feedback from customers to identify improvement opportunities; takes responsibility to correct customer problems and concerns; ensures that all work activities add value (directly or indirectly) to the customer or partner #LI-GK1 Basic Qualifications:  Four year collegeMust have a BS degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment     visas, now or in the future, for this job opening. Preferred Qualifications: Must have advanced data analysis including knowledge of advanced Excel and PowerBI capabilities.Must have ISO documentation systems knowledge and experience.Previous experience with Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) and / or Drive systems, processes, and products preferred.Familiarity with SAP preferred.Minimum 5 years of related experience
