Assistant Director of Information Systems & Technology

 

  $75,909 - $117,166

 

Assists the Director in the implementation of strategies and initiatives for providing reliable, integrated, and secure information systems that support effective, efficient municipal services to constituents and delivery of IT services to departments.  Works collaboratively with the Director and IT staff to install, maintain and support computer systems and communication networks, ensuring systems and networks provide maximum performance and availability to users and customers.  Responsible for department operations and supervision of staff in the absence of the Director.

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

Education/Years of Experience:  Must have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or some closely related field and five (5) years of recent technology support work experience; an associate’s degree and seven (7) years of recent technology support work experience; or a high school diploma or GED and ten (10) years of recent technology support work experience.

 

Other: Must have experience in Microsoft server and desktop operating systems and applications, in virtualization technology, and with network administration.  Must have and maintain a drivers’ license.
