Monticello Community Unit School District #25 is Hiring! Monticello Community Unit School District #25 is located in central Illinois between Champaign and Decatur. Monticello Schools have approximately 1600 students, 130 teachers and administrators, and 65 support staff members. The district encompasses 160 square miles and serves students from Monticello, Cisco, Lodge, White Heath, and the surrounding rural area with a total district population of over 8,000. A safe and secure learning environment is provided in which high expectations for all students are held and we have been in school five days a week all year. Monticello Schools offers students a traditional comprehensive education that includes a core of academic subjects as well as a variety of elective strands. Opportunities to participate in a wide selection of extra-curricular and co-curricular activities are available for students. The student body is comprised of loyal students and school spirit is visible throughout the school year. Monticello Schools are known throughout the area for their high test scores, small class sizes, and low tax rates. Monticello High School has been an area leader since the adoption of state wide testing and has earned a place in Newsweek's Top 100 High Schools.
