Position Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst Revenue Recognition is responsible for providing relevant, accurate and timely revenue analysis in support of our business units. The Senior Financial Analyst Revenue Recognition services any and all of the business units as needed. The Senior Financial Analyst Revenue Recognition provides direct support to the FSS-Advertising leadership team and business units that includes, but is not limited to monthly and quarterly review of the GL reported revenue, variance analyses of reported revenue, review of proposed rate programs and contracts for alignment with company and industry standard policies, and multiple element analysis of proposed and reported revenue. The Senior Financial Analyst Rev Rec is proficient in advertising revenue analysis and financial performance analysis. The Senior Financial Analyst Rev Rec is responsible for accurate and timely analytical reports and strong customer service both for the FSS-Advertising team and the business units. The Senior Financial Analyst Rev Rec possesses the ability to communicate financial performance to members of the leadership team.

Primary Responsibilities/Tasks

Develops relationships and provides support to the Revenue Recognition leadership team, FSS-Advertising VP and staff at business units.

Assists with the development and implementation of standardized analytical tools and reporting as well as ad hoc reporting when needed.

Performs detailed reviews of proposed rate programs and contracts for compliance with company revenue recognition policies.

Performs detailed reviews of proposed and reported revenue for compliance with multiple element accounting policies.

Investigates variances to expected results and provides explanations.

Provides information to management by assembling and summarizing data; preparing reports; making presentations of findings, analyses, and recommendations.

Increases productivity by developing automated applications; eliminating duplications; coordinating information requirements.

Works directly with Revenue Recognition team leadership and manages projects as assigned.

Coordinates training or work teams to identify areas for improvement, form solutions, and implement process improvements.

Experience in a consolidated financial environment

Knowledge of BPC an asset
