ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT I/II
$15.53 - $22.87/hr.
The City of Atwater is recruiting for a regular, reduced hour (20 – 24 hours per week) Administrative
Assistant I/II in the City Clerk/Administration Department to establish an eligibility list. Under general supervision, to coordinate and perform a wide variety of administrative support work for the City Clerk; to perform difficult and specialized office support, information gathering, information preparation, and public relations assignments; and to do related work as required. Serves as Disaster Service Worker. FLSA Status: Non-exempt. Bargaining Group: Clerical Unit.
Minimum qualifications include but are not limited to: modern office methods and procedures; fiscal record keeping methods and procedures; personal computers and software applications related to administrative support work; ability to type at a net speed of 40 words per minute; and ability to work with considerable independence and initiative while exercising good judgment in recognizing scope of authority. Equivalent to graduation from high school; two (2) years of increasingly responsible work experience performing a variety of office and administrative support work including substantial experience in a position requiring public/customer contact; and possession of a valid California driver’s license.
