Wor-Wic Community College is accepting applications for a full-time administrative associate to provide computer technical skills and general office support for the Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy (ESCJA) to ensure efficient operation of the office.
Duties include managing academy training software to track daily attendance; managing next steps for students after assessments, including determining missed objectives, creating tests from the database and printing block exam booklets; storing electronic records and paper files as required by Maryland Police and Correctional Training Commissions (MPCTC) and other regulating bodies; performing general clerical, data entry and reception duties for the criminal justice department and ESCJA personnel; ensuring operation and preventative maintenance of technical office equipment; maintaining supply inventory for instructional and office needs; maintaining academy student files and preparing for MPCTC audits; tracking budget expenses; and organizing and preparing programs for student graduation ceremonies and other events.
Requirements include an associate degree in office technology, secretarial science or relevant field; two years of office experience; and excellent written and oral communication, computer, MS Office, mathematical, organizational and human relations skills. Two additional years of experience can be substituted for the education requirement.
Preference will be given to candidates with switchboard experience. The minimum starting hourly rate is $16.59, with excellent fringe benefits.
