Job Description:

Port to Port is seeking for a qualified Bilingual (English & Spanish) HR Generalist Representative for its New Castle, Delaware Location.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to staffing, record-keeping and employee benefits. The duties of the HR Representative include recruiting, interviewing and hiring new staff, as well as helping the Company increase employee productivity, morale and retention. HR Representative will provide orientation to new employees and ongoing training and development. The job includes implementing programs such as Managing Equal Opportunity and Americans with Disabilities Act and responding to discrimination or workplace complaints. HR Rep. will manage compensation and benefits programs and answer questions about these programs. It will keep employees informed of the various details of their jobs, work with Managers to ensure that employees understand the responsibilities of their job, including their duties and working hours and help inform workers of expectations related to their work environment, such as workplace behavior and appearance, through orientation sessions, communications and individual meetings. HR Representative will make sure employees understand their compensation and benefits clearly and answer any questions.



  • Must be bilingual (English/Spanish) / Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, or Organization Development degree preferred.
  • Must be extremely accurate, be deadline-oriented, supervision, effective oral and written communication skills, aggressive self-starter, detail oriented and dependable.
  • General knowledge of employment laws and practices.
  • Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other Human Resources programs.
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include Excel and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping.
  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
  • Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Three to five plus years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions.
  • Specialized training in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, training, and preventive labor relations, preferred.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred, not required.
  • Ability to work with both yard and administrative personnel.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Experience in handling sensitive, confidential information
  • Excellent communicator (oral and written) including the desire to ask questions and learn from co-workers.
  • Strong administrative and data management skills.
  • Ability to raise issues proactively and in a timely manner.
