Operations Coordinator, Apple Media Products

Seattle , Washington , United States

Software and Services

Summary

Posted: May 27, 2021

Weekly Hours: 40

Role Number: 200251020

The Apple Media Products Engineering team is one of the most exciting examples of Apple's long-held passion for combining art and technology. These are the people who power the App Store, Apple TV, Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, and Apple Books. And they do it on a massive scale, meeting Apple's high expectations with high performance to deliver a huge variety of entertainment in over 35 languages to more than 150 countries. These engineers build secure, end-to-end solutions. They develop the custom software used to process all the creative work, the tools that providers use to deliver that media, all the server-side systems, and the APIs for many Apple services. Thanks to Apple's unique integration of hardware, software, and services, engineers here partner to get behind a single unified vision. That vision always includes a deep commitment to strengthening Apple's privacy policy, one of Apple's core values. Although services are a bigger part of Apple's business than ever before, these teams remain small, nimble, and cross-functional, offering greater exposure to the array of opportunities here.

Key Qualifications

  • Passion and excitement for Apple apps, software, tools, and helping developers succeed
  • Super organized, action oriented, and can track and prioritize high volumes of results for projects
  • Effective communicator, ready to engage with teams across the organization and partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Resourceful, creative, customer focused, results driven, and comfortable in a high-energy environment
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, eager to take on challenges and learn
  • Experience with software development and working collaboratively with engineering and program management teams
  • Exposure to Apple developer platforms, preferably for iOS, macOS, watchOS, and/or tvOS and associated developer tools like Xcode

Description

Within App Store Engineering, the Logistics team is the single point of accountability to Apple internal app developers and select 3rd party developers. We want to grow our team with people who share our dedication to providing the best developer experience and constantly improving the way we work. Our team collaborates with internal and select external app developers, engineering, program management, product, and customer service teams to improve developers' ability to build amazing apps that showcase Apple's hardware, software, and services. To our customers, we are the face of the App Store. We want the Apple developer experience to surprise and delight, just like our other products do. Our team cares for customers by on-boarding and supporting developer teams, investigating day-to-day developer issues, conducting beta tests of new developer features, and sharing user feedback with internal teams to influence product development. As an Operations Coordinator, you will work closely with internal app teams; communicating requirements, giving support, maintaining internal documentation, and project managing to ensure apps ship with quality, on time, and to Apple's standards. You will manage and support the day to day workflow on app ingestion and dependent processes across the iOS, watchOS, macOS, tvOS, Android, Windows, and other platforms. You will support App Store engineering teams by facilitating production testing of App Store features. And you will help define and lead requirements for digital supply chain workflow, tools, systems, and processes across multiple integrated processes and teams.
