Responsible for generating group revenue through direct solicitation in local and feeder city markets. This position is required to meet or exceed budgeted booking goals; initiate, prospect, and solicit outside calls; generate group revenue via converting inquiries into booking; identify new sources of business through cold calls in geographical territories; initiate sales contracts and ensure distribution to client; perform outside sales calls in select feeder city markets; respond timely to all telephone inquiries and leads; have knowledge for Stein Eriksen Lodge and The Chateaux Deer Valley and competition; conduct creative site inspections; proactively solicit group bookings through calls of past accounts; negotiate group rates in accordance with yield management to maximize revenue with approval from the Director of Revenue; responsible for ensuring information regarding room block, billing et., is communicated to the appropriate departments.
