STARTING SALARY RANGE:  $95,578.00 - $106,330.00 annually dependent on qualifications. The salary range for this position is $95,578.00 - $138,588.00

This position will analyze, test, refine and improve on new ideas, business models and processes to support the residents, business owners and visitors of the Village of Schaumburg. This position works independently to foster a  creative culture that sparks inspiration, collaboration and innovation while supporting the operational and strategic goals of the organization. This position will utilize various technology solutions, management methodologies and creative strategies to drive innovation, design thinking and data visualization efforts. This position will also recommend, plan, design and implement change as needed to create additional operational efficiencies, and to improve service to organizational stakeholders. Once implemented, this position will monitor the performance of new processes and solutions and make enhancements and modifications when necessary. This is a matrix-oriented role, accountable for working on-site with all members of the executive team and their direct reports as well as external customers and stakeholders. 


To succeed in this role, applicants will need to effectively and clearly communicate to a full range of people inside and outside the organization, be able to work cooperatively with others to achieve common goals, and is motivated by success.   We are looking to add a team member capable of shifting gears comfortably and working towards achieving higher results.

1.    Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Management, Operations, or related field.
2.    Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field is preferred.
3.    A minimum of three years of experience in a business/systems/process analyst role, project management role, or change management role that required implementing new business processes, technology and/or solutions that have significant operational, technical, and strategic impact.
4.    Experience with computers, hardware and software applications preferred or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.  
5.    Proficiency with current computer software systems, including email, calendar programs, job specific software, and customer service systems preferred or within the first six months of employment.  

Ability to work independently and within a team; characterized by being self-sufficient, self-motivated, and intellectually curious. Creative thinker with the ability to synthesize solutions to complex issues from a variety of sources. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to collaborate with all levels of the organization and be creative with a professional, positive, and enthusiastic approach. Ability to manage multiple projects, programs, and tasks with the ability to meet stated deadlines. Ability to communicate and demonstrate written and oral concepts related to business processes mapping to a variety of audiences. Ability to understand and discuss complex technical and operational concepts related to both information technology and general municipal government business operations. Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with all levels of an organization.
