Assistant Director of Financial Aid
The Assistant Director of Financial Aid reports to the Director of Financial Aid. Responsible for providing information, advice and assistance regarding various types of Federal and State financial aid available to students, and assist the director in the day to day operations of the department and represent the school in the absence of the director. Bachelor’s degree in related discipline preferred; relevant experience may substitute for all or part of the education requirement. Requires two to four years’ experience on jobs leading to this, or similar jobs. Knowledge of computerized electronic processes in the delivery of financial aid and veteran’s administration educational programs (i.e. EDE, VACert) Experience with automated systems related financial aid management (SIS+ preferred) Knowledge of federal and state financial assistance and veterans administration educational programs. Master’s degree from an accredited four year college or university is preferred. Knowledge of working with Veteran’s Programs (Federal and State). Knowledge of Banner Software is a plus. Knowledge of Family Education Rights and Privacy (FERPA).
Salary: $45,00-$50,000; Plus, Excellent Benefits
Position is security sensitive and subject to Texas education Code 51.215, which authorizes the employer to obtain criminal history record information.
