Apple's Hardware Engineering Program Management Team is looking for a resourceful, energetic Engineering Project Specialist (EPS) who will be responsible for managing key areas of Hardware Engineering programs with exposure to cross-functional teams and overseas vendors. Interface with Engineering Project Managers, Product Design, Worldwide Product Configuration Management, Finance, Operations and Contract Manufacturers to manage the risks associated with early manufacturing builds. Manage project-related communications; drive configuration management activities; escalate key issues and present options for resolution to the cross-functional teams. Create and manage project budget, submit purchase requisitions, maintain invoice tracking, posting goods receipts and participating in quarterly finance audits while complying with SOX regulations. Support system and module level build material and ensure delivery to CM partners. Manage logistics of parts for builds and prototypes. Maintain schedules for the delivery of vendor parts. Work on multiple projects, simultaneously.

Material demand planning, inventory control and logistics readiness from suppliers to OEMs Track system delivery schedules, ensuring that teams receive material in a timely fashion Communicate material delivery schedules to product teams so they can plan accordingly Project budget management Allocation management Track and manage units with vendors Excess materials management Partner with Engineering Project Managers, Global Supply Managers and R&D Finance to create and handle development budgets and purchase to pay activities Work closely with Hardware Engineering design teams to create, structure and release BOMs; including part numbers, engineering change orders, and related technical drawings and documents Log and track expenses against all assigned standard POs as well as Approved Releases against all assigned BPOs (Blanket Purchase Orders)

Education & Experience

BA/BS degree or 3+ years of industry experience
