Otter Tail Power Company will be replacing our electric meter fleet with smart meters, and this will provide an opportunity for an individual to join our team as an Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Analyst in Fergus Falls, MN.

This role will have the primary responsibility to operate and maintain the system. The role will require daily monitoring, maintenance, and performance assessment of this new system regarding how the radio field network and meters are performing.  This role will then provide guidance to others to resolve issues and improve performance.  

For this role, we prefer a bachelors degree or equivalent training and experience in Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Headend Systems and the overall AMI system, data analytics or a closely related field. Five years of experience in meter to cash workflow, and network/meter related technologies is preferred. Highly desirable to have experience with electric utility rates and billing processes, computer systems analysis and application support; and the ability to identifying problems, review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Knowledge of electrical meters and electrical distribution systems and operations is preferred. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills; development and programming skills; reporting and problem-solving skills and analytical and time management skills.
