Wor-Wic Community College is accepting applications for a part-time assistant librarian to help students, faculty and staff access electronic databases, the Internet and Microsoft Word 25 hours per week, typically in the evenings and every other Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with occasional backup coverage weekdays from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Duties include providing reference assistance and assisting the director with managing and coordinating the daily library center operations, including training and supervision of the student assistants; assisting with the development of tutorials and research guides; and conducting orientations.
Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; one year of library or technology experience, including the use of online databases and the Internet; the ability to work independently; and strong oral and written communication skills. This position does not include benefits.
