Job Title: HR Director Recruitment Description: The City of Ellensburg is accepting applications for Human Resources Director. The HR Director provides quality assistance, professional expertise and service to directors, supervisors, employees, and job applicants. The ideal candidate is someone who will provide forward-thinking, collaborative leadership for all human resources functions in partnership with the Management team. This person will achieve effective employee placement and development, compensation, and enhance the quality of work life for City employees, assuring a safe work environment and retention of the Citys work force. This position performs a variety of complex professional and administrative work including policy development, classification, training, safety, and employee recognition functions while ensuring consistent and fair treatment of applicants and employees of the City. Salary: $7,445 - $9,927/month plus a generous benefit package including Personal Time Off (PTO) Leave and Exempt Leave. Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in public administration, human resources management or a closely related field and four or more years of progressively responsible experience administering human resource programs including policy development, training and development, classification, safety, civil service; experience in a position of comparable scope and size to the City of Ellensburg highly desirable, or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Experience optimizing accessibility and adapting systems to remove barriers/bias to inclusion is a plus. First aid and CPR certification; PHR certification desired.
