Sodexo Senior Living is seeking a Food Service Manager 3 for Garden Spot Village, a beautiful and growing upscale continuing care retirement community located in New Holland, Pennsylvania. This position will mainly oversee dining operations for independent living residents serving 900 residents and will oversee catering events. Will report to the General Manager and manage a staff of approximately 65 hourly employees. Alternating weekly shifts: 9:00am - 6:30pm and 8:00-5:30pm, with every other weekend coverage and some holidays.

We are looking for candidates who will:

  • have oversight of daily operations of 3 dining rooms, coffee shop;
  • oversee special events;
  • deliver high quality food service;
  • achieve company and client financial targets and goals;
  • develop and maintain client and customer relationships;
  • create a positive environment; and
  • ensure Sodexo Standards are met.

The ideal candidate:

  • has excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working with seniors and managing people and the dining operation to make every day a better day for our clients and residents;
  • has two or more years food service management experience;
  • has prior catering experience;
  • has a knowledge of safety and sanitation compliance;
  • has the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;
  • can demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and
  • is proficient in computer skills and report management experience.

Position Summary

Provides supervision for multi-functional food service areas at an account/unit to ensure client satisfaction and retention for the Company. Contributes to account revenue and operating profit through the implementation of Sodexo programs while executing against Standard Operating Procedures.
Key Duties

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
