Unit Description

Sodexo is looking for a Patient Service Manager 2 in Brooklyn, NY

The Patient Service Manager 2 will manage 50 union hourly employees, provide excellent food quality and customer service to Residents. .Lincoln is a full service acute care hospital and one of the premier trauma centers in the country. The hospital offers comprehensive primary, secondary, preventive and specialty care services. Our Level 1 Trauma Center is the busiest in the northeast region. The Hospital is staffed by a team of more than 300 physicians and has an inpatient capacity of 362 beds, including 20 neonatal intensive care beds, 10 surgical intensive care beds, 8 pediatric intensive care beds, 7 coronary care beds, and an expanded 11 station renal dialysis unit.

In this role you will also trains employees on the standard operating procedures to meet all food & physical regulatory requirements. We are looking for someone with strong patient service experience, patient rounding, sanitation, CBORD skills, and work in a team driven environment. A typical shift can vary must be flexible with schedule, but this is mostly 11-8 with rotating weekends.

The successful candidate will need to lead by example, great communication skills and build a robust team.

  • Regulatory experience, unit always ready no matter the situation
  • Oversee the trayline program
  • Food / Physical Safety Audits
  • Management over the Patient Services team
  • May do patient meal rounding and have interaction with residents
  • History of demonstrating strong leadership skills as well as the ability to work collaboratively with clinical administration and nursing.
  • Has the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service
  • Identifying process improvement initiatives and overseeing the implementation

Position Summary

Provides direction for patient meal services at patient care units to ensure customer satisfaction and retention for the Company.
Key Duties
- Directs daily operations of patient meal services at patient care units to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory and resources to perform their jobs and meet goals and deadlines.

- Supervises day-today work activities by delegating authority, assigning, scheduling, and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards.

- Establishes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to employees.

- Performs audits and prepares reports.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
