Sodexo is seeking a Part time Registered Dietitian at Holy Cross Village @ Notre Dame located in Indiana.

Holy Cross Village is a luxury Senior Living facility providing a full continuing care retirement community - CCRC from Independent Living located in individual Cottages to Apartments located within Andre Place. Along with the independent living, there is also Schubert Villa assisted living / memory care and Dujarie House nursing care.

This position will work mainly with the Skilled and long-term care residents with occasional event planning and consultation with the other levels of care. Energy - Motivation -Organization - and Care is a MUST

This is a great opportunity to grow professionally in an intimate setting that promotes learning and values your clinical expertise. This position will work approximately 20 - 24 hours per week (This position is eligible for benefits). Looking for an experienced Registered Dietitian with a minimum of 1-3 years of long-term care experience.

The successful candidate will:

  • provide nutritional care for a variety of inpatient units
  • Be the a liaison with medical and nursing staff
  • Provide in-patient nutrition education as needed
  • Support the Nutrition Services Department though department initiatives and programming
  • Meet with residents - weight management, admissions, patient care conference

Position Summary

Responsible for providing direct comprehensive nutrition services
Key Duties
-Directs nutrition care of special needs population to ensure nutrition needs and customer satisfaction levels are met.
-Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction to ensure account retention.
-Manages, promotes, and educates others on food and nutrition programs according to Sodexo standards and policy.
-Collaborates and communicates with culinary and clinical departments on established processes, special diets, and menu requests and probes potential problems and apprises manager of status on resolution of problems or issues, using appropriate Sodexo resource when necessary.
-Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel) by keep abreast of the most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications, and standards of practice.
-Establishes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to other departments..

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree

Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian
