Unit Description

Sodexo is seeking Full time Registered Dietitian at Ocala Regional Medical Center a Multi-site acute care hospital in Ocala Florida. Ocala Regional Medical Center is a 256 licensed bed facility and the sister hospital is West Marion Community Hospital with 172 licensed beds. The hospitals are located 5 miles apart and there will be times that the dietitians work at both campuses. in Ocala, FL.

The hospital has service lines such as trauma, cardiac, neurology, orthopedic, comprehensive stroke, and a large critical care population.

Dietitian will report to the Clinical Nutrition Manager and will:

  • Be a Registered Dietitian with 0-1 year experience.
  • Work independently.
  • Have strong communication skills and work very closely with an interdisciplinary team.
  • Be self directed, flexible and a team player with excellent time management skills.
  • Have strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Licensure in Florida required

Position Summary

Responsible for providing direct basic nutrition services
Key Duties
-Provides nutrition care to population served to ensure needs and customer satisfaction levels are met.
-Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction to ensure account retention.
-Manages, promotes, and educates others on food and nutrition programs according to Sodexo standards and policy.
-Collaborates and communicates with culinary and clinical departments on established processes, special diets, and menu requests and probes potential problems and apprises manager of status on resolution of problems or issues, using appropriate Sodexo resource when necessary.
-Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel) by keep abreast of the most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications, and standards of practice.
-Follows operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to other departments..

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree

Basic Functional Experience - Meets eligibility requirements for certification as a Registered Dietitian
