Sodexo is seeking a Part Time Registered Dietitian ( for 24 hrs per week ) for Beth Israel Deacones, Needham, Ma. Responsible for providing direct basic nutrition services.

Affiliated with the world-famous Joslin Diabetes Center, specialists in our program provide treatment for adult diabetes and endocrinology, nutrition counseling, and patient education.

For more than two decades, patients with diabetes and other endocrine disorders have received quality care at the Joslin Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham. Affiliated with the world-renowned Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston, our Center provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment of endocrine disorders, including diabetes and thyroid, adrenal and pituitary diseases, and bone and calcium abnormalities.

The American Diabetes Association has recognized the Joslin Center at BID-Needham for meeting the national standards for diabetes self-management education.

We offer

Our team includes two board-certified endocrinologists, an advanced practice nurse practitioner, certified diabetes educators, nurse educators and registered dietitians.

Key Duties
-Provides nutrition care to population served to ensure needs and customer satisfaction levels are met.
-Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction to ensure account retention.
-Manages, promotes, and educates others on food and nutrition programs according to Sodexo standards and policy.
-Collaborates and communicates with culinary and clinical departments on established processes, special diets, and menu requests and probes potential problems and apprises manager of status on resolution of problems or issues, using appropriate Sodexo resource when necessary.
-Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo / client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel) by keep abreast of the most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications, and standards of practice.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree

Basic Functional Experience - Meets eligibility requirements for certification as a Registered Dietitian
