TrueNorth Companies is looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our Transportation team in Cedar Rapids, IA. Do you have excellent customer service and enjoy a fast paced work environment? If so, this position is for you!

The Customer Service Representative receives incoming calls from individual owner operators, handles quotes, processes applications/changes/terminations and provides outstanding customer service to all Trucker’s Service Company clients and accounts.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities: 

  • Receive incoming calls from clients and prospects; provide outstanding customer service as well as quote coverages
  • Monitor incoming faxes; process changes, additions and deletions, as well as process new applications
  • Review incoming applications and changes received via email, phone, fax, or mail
  • Ensure applications and changes are completed accurately and timely
  • Input applications and change information into Overdrive on a timely basis
  • Maintain and update Overdrive, Epic & CRM as necessary
  • Complete paperwork associated with clients on a timely basis as established by agency standards
  • Update and maintain Account Process Manual, as necessary
  • Assist with non-pay cancellation follow up as needed
  • Assist with new business data entry as needed
  • Create and mail certificates for Motor Carriers, Lienholders, and Clients
  • Follow-up with clients on incomplete applications and change forms

 Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • College degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience preferred
  • Prior customer service experience required; experience in the insurance industry is preferred
  • P&C License required within 30 days of hire
  • Life & Health license required within 90 days of hire
  • Prior customer service experience required; experience in the insurance industry is preferred
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Collaborative team player & positive attitude
