Description

Come join us in the beautiful Pacific Northwest as a Certified Veterinary Technician – Small Animal Oncology!

Oregon State University’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital has an exciting opportunity available in our Small Animal Hospital for a full-time Oncology technician.  We pride ourselves in providing the highest quality medicine for our patients and superior instruction for our veterinary students. Our clients are dedicated to their pets, and we are committed to providing them with the care that they deserve!  In addition to doctors who are board-certified in Anesthesiology, Cardiology, Critical Care, Diagnostic Imaging, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Rehabilitation and Surgery, our hospital team includes multiple VTS technicians.  Our facility is newly expanded and state of the art.  Located in the beautiful Willamette Valley, Corvallis is an easy drive from Portland, the Cascades and the gorgeous Pacific Coast so that you can enjoy all that the PNW has to offer.

We are looking for a technician who is compassionate, confident in their skills and ready to impart their knowledge and wisdom to the next generation of veterinarians.  Technicians must be credentialed and able to achieve Oregon certification within the first six months after hire.

Duties include assistance with diagnostic testing and procedures, chemotherapy administration, client interaction and in-depth student instruction.

Excellent benefits include:

  • Competitive salary
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Short/long term disability and life insurance
  • Paid holidays, vacation and sick leave
  • Retirement/pension program
  • Tuition discount (for employee or qualified family members)
  • Pet care discount
  • Flexible spending accounts
  • CE opportunities and allowance
  • Staff fitness program and recreational activities
  • Scrub allowance
  • Pay differential for VTS and resources to achieve this goal

As a teaching hospital, we strive to provide a supportive and inclusive environment with learning opportunities for all staff members. We value our technicians and their contribution to the education of future veterinarians.
