Worley Fire Protection District Worley, Idaho FIRE CHIEF Salary:$80,000 - $90,000 Worley Fire Protection District covers approximately the southern one-third of Kootenai County or 121 square miles. Conveniently located 20 miles South of downtown Coeur d Alene. Worley has attracted residents who want to feel like they are part of a rural community while having access to the amenities of the larger urban areas. The Worley Fire Protection District is led by a three-member, locally elected Board of Commissioners who oversee and govern district operations. The District protects the City of Worley, an exclusive golf facility complex, Coeur d Alene Casino and Hotel as well as the communities of Conklin Park, Cave Bay, Windy Bay, Sun-Up Bay, Rockford Bay, several residential developments, and agricultural and timber lands. Worley Fire Protection District is a combination career and volunteer department. The District provides EMS transport performed under the direction and licensure of Kootenai County Emergency Medical Services, first response, fire suppression, public education, and fire prevention services. Under the Board of Commissioners direction, the Fire Chief is the District's Chief Executive Officer. The Fire Chief is responsible for implementing the rules, policies and procedures established by the Board of Commissioners and for carrying out the duties required of the Fire Chief by the State of Idaho. The Fire Chief is responsible for all aspects of the day-to day administration, operation, and finances of the District.
