We help the world work better and people work smarter and are looking for bright minds to make that happen. The makers, the forward thinkers, the problem solvers. That's where you come in.

As a Sr Hardware Engineer, you will use your electronics design experience to develop and enhance our existing and next generation industrial control products. These products include Programmable Logic Controllers, I/O Products, and Communication devices.  You will play a key role in all phases of product development including requirements definition, complex circuit design for embedded systems, functional safety impact assessment, product verification and certification testing, and release to production.  You will work on a product development team collaborating with Engineers across multiple disciplines (e.g., electrical, mechanical, ASIC/FPGA development, embedded software), Scrum Masters, Product Management, Quality, and Operations to bring our product roadmaps to life.

The environment fosters a collaborative and innovative approach working with teams across the globe.  It is dynamic, fast-paced, and requires a highly motivated individual with a passion for product development.  You will be supported with mentorship and coaching.  With success in this role, you will have the opportunity to grow into roles with increased scope and responsibility.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar Engineering Technology degree.

  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required.  We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Typically requires 5 years of experience in product development and release of printed circuit board level electronic hardware systems with expertise in high-speed digital design (using components such as microcontrollers, DDR memories, Ethernet, ASICs, FPGAs).

  • Experience designing electrical circuits and printed circuit boards for hardware systems with expertise in analog design (using components such as DACs, ADCs, opamps, comparators, current and voltage sensing, active and passive filters) or isolated power supply design.

  • Experience with electronic hardware design tools such as schematic capture (Mentor Graphics or similar), PCB design, timing analysis, and signal integrity (HyperLynx or similar).

  • Experience simulating analog circuit performance and reliability (e.g., using software such as MathCad, LTspice/Saber or similar).

  • Experience in developing test plans, and executing tests for hardware qualification, product certification and/or regulatory compliance.

  • Programming skills in Python or C/C++ or LabVIEW or other test automation tools/software.

  • Experience with Rockwell Automation Software programming tools and programming skills in Ladder Logic

  • Experience with creating UL/ATEX compliant design (isolation / spacing), preventing and eliminating EMC/EMI issues.

  • Experience developing electronic hardware systems that meet product certification requirements, such as UL, CE, or IEC 61010.

  • Experience developing products using Agile/Scrum methodologies, ideally in a Scaled Agile Framework

  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar related technical discipline.

  • Experience developing electronic hardware systems that meet functional safety standards; IEC 61508 and/or SIL2/SIL3
