Unit Description

Sodexo is seeking a Resident District Manager for an upscale food environment in Washington, DC.

As the Resident District Manager you are the food service leader for this innovative dining program within our Business Dining Division. Responsible for successfully coordinating and directing all activities within the food service area through subordinate managers, supervisors and employees including financial performance, client retention, and employee training and development. The RDM partners with our client and the Vice President in all matters relating to contract and account operations in order to establish and maintain a solid and mutually beneficial business relationship that ensures account retention and forward innovation.

Position Summary:

  • Serves as the primary representative of the company for this premier corporate client.
  • Oversees all financial performance, client retention, and employee training and development.
  • Develops team members through appropriate training, coaching and mentoring to ensure strong operational performance.
  • Maintains a high level of food quality in each facility to meet client's expectations.
  • Develops and implements operational policies, procedures, and standards to achieve company goals.

Position Summary

Functions as the central point of contact for one complex account with multiple locations, and possibly multiple contracts. Oversees performance of unit management including budget development, client relations, sales and profitability performance, conformance with company policies and procedures and staff training and development. Liaison between company resources and unit operating managers.


Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 5 years
Basic Functional Experience - 5 years
