Job Description

  • Lead the development of the Distributor-Manufacturer Integration (DMI) program in North America. Collaborate with key business leaders to assess operational requirements and develop strategies to achieve the overall business goals set by both the Distributor and Rockwell Automation.  KPI's include Inventory Turns, In Stock %, Inventory $, % DMI Managed Lines, % DMI Supply Chain Visibility.  Lead performance review meetings with Distributor leadership.
  • Actively participate in developing, implementing, and supporting Rockwell Automation finished goods inventory replenishment strategies to improve the flow of product and information from Rockwell Automation supplying locations to Rockwell Automation Distributors.
  • In coordination with Sales, Channel Management, Order Services, EDI and Logistics, support the achievement of the DMI Requirements for Automation Appointment at all North America Distributors.
  • Enhance the planning model and work with DMI Software provider to implement additional functionality to drive continuous improvements and optimization of the DMI Planning tool.
  • Understand the basic inventory management functionality and VMI capabilities of business systems used by Distributors.  Coordinate knowledge sharing among business system vendors and Distributors on the VMI capabilities of their systems.
  • Provide support and process improvements in inventory management at our distributors to reduce overall logistics costs in the Supply Chain.
  • Manage the North America DMI planner and analyst development, including goal setting using PADR's and 70-20-10 plans.  Support career development and skill growth for team members and conduct annual reviews.  Provide coaching and critical feedback when needed.  Ensure team members have balanced workload, clear assignments and priorities. 
  • Collaborate with Asia Pacific and Latin America DMI Program Managers to drive to best practices for the DMI program.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required - Preferred in Business, specializing in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Operations or Supply Chain with experience related to planning and inventory management.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems is essential, preferably SAP
  • Minimum 2-3 years of supervisory/managerial level experience.
  • Global business proficiency and understanding.
  • Interacts with the global team members well and is a team player
