Would you like to help teachers around the world elevate the quality of their students' experience using technology in the classroom? The Apple Classroom team is looking for an experienced engineer who is motivated to bring innovative new features to life in Apple's Classroom app for iPadOS and macOS.

  • Passion for quality and attention to detail

Apple has played a significant role in the use of technology in the classroom for decades. From its very first introduction of the Apple II into classrooms in 1978 to today's state wide deployments of MacBooks and iPads to students, Apple continues to show an unwavering commitment to advancing access to state of the art learning tools in education. As a companion to Apple's popular MacBooks and iPads in education, Classroom app for iOS and macOS is an invaluable tool for teachers to make the most of the digital learning experience for their students. As an engineer on the Classroom team, your primary responsibility will be high-level UI development, but you'll often find yourself working at different levels of the stack in order to pull off results-oriented features. You should feel comfortable moving fluidly from network programming to framework and application development. You'll be maintaining and improving not just the Classroom app, but also its supporting frameworks and system services. You'll also be responsible for debugging and delivering the best possible application performance and adopting the best testing practices to help you find and fix bugs early. You will work with other creative and passionate team members as you collaborate with them on their proposed software implementations. As the face of the Classroom app running on iPadOS and macOS, every engineer on our team can have an enormous impact on the product we ship. To succeed here, you'll need above all to be passionate about building a classroom assistant experience that is the best of its kind. We promote innovation and new technology to further improve our creative output. Dynamic and smart people and inspiring and leading-edge technologies are the norm here. You will be part of building extraordinary and novel features for an essential part of Apple's family of digital learning software. We're looking for a talented and results-oriented person to join our amazing team. If you feel this is you, we'd love to hear from you.
