Key Qualifications

  • 3-5 years QA experience, writing automation, test frameworks, automated test infrastructure
  • Proficiency in object oriented languages like Python, Java, Swift, Javascript or Ruby
  • Strong understanding of SQA methodologies and practices
  • Proven knowledge of internet protocols, web proxies, caching and other web related fundamentals
  • Experience in white box testing
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to rapidly changing requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to write automation
  • Ability to identify and triage issues
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and creative thinking skills.
  • Ability to lead projects and contribute as part of a team


The HomePod QA team is looking for Automation Test Engineers with strong automation experience to join our group and write automation for HomePod platform and related services. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to solve complex software testing problems involving abstracting UI automation across multiple platforms, writing UI applications, and distributed test systems. In this role your job responsibilities will include automation writing for new and existing features, triaging and maintaining automation, bug reporting, test plan review and documentation. The position demands a self-motivated individual with strong technical and communication skills who can contribute in a cross-functional team environment. You will need to show ability to communicate with Developers, Engineering Program Managers, and other QA Engineers to contribute in building solid and comprehensive test plans, execute & report results. If you have a passion for quality, this position is for you. Responsibilities Design and develop test infrastructure: tools, apps, and frameworks. This position entails developing tools and frameworks that integrate with CI\CD pipelines to ensure every application Apple ships meets our high quality standards. Work closely with engineering teams to debug and reproduce issues. Candidate must be dynamic and prepared to test and regress a high volume of changes on a day-to-day basis. This position requires strong analytical skills in not only approaching and writing automated tests but also in analyzing the details of test results.
