Excellent reading and writing skills

Accurate typing and attention to detail

Superior organizational and communication skills

Familiarity with Indiana law and Indiana Trial Rules

Working knowledge of the civil litigation process

Background in personal injury, auto accident, insurance defense



Associate degree in paralegal studies

2-3 years paralegal experience with insurance defense / civil litigation

Experience reviewing medical records and bills


Degree in paralegal studies


Experience with Abacus legal software

Experience with Sage Timeslips

Experience with Microsoft Suite WORD, Excel, Office 365, One Drive, Outlook

Experience with Adobe Acrobat DC

Experience / capability with Virtual Private Network (remote work environment)


Case load: 35-40 cases

Discovery: Full case management, Interrogatories, Requests for Production, summarizing medical records, summarizing medical bills, identification of and preparation of exhibits, client communications, expert discovery

Trial: Arrange for witnesses, identify and prepare exhibits, review of court instructions, Indiana Trial Rules and local rules.

Draft pleadings, reports, summaries, correspondence.

Processing mail, scanning, filing, photocopying.

Scheduling and calendaring.
