The professionals at the National Security Agency (NSA) have one common goal: to protect our nation. The mission requires a strong offense and a steadfast defense. The offense collects, processes and disseminates intelligence information derived from foreign signals for intelligence and counterintelligence purposes. The defense prevents adversaries from gaining access to sensitive of classified national security information. Multimedia Producer's in the Engagement and Policy Directorate create multimedia products that convey customers' messages in support of their mission. They lead and/or contribute to video productions by participating in activities such as concept development, writing, audio/visual recording, editing, animation, and end product creation.
As the Agency's official video production facility, the NSA Video Center is here to support the NSA workforce. Our team of highly-skilled and industry-experienced video professionals have the expertise, storytelling skills, and deep understanding of Agency policy needed to convey each organizations message to the right audience, in the right way. From creative development, to scriptwriting, recording, editing, animation, and sound design, we deliver award-winning video products to support the mission. We are looking for an artistic individual to become the newest member of our team as a Multimedia Producer.
As a member of our team, you will be responsible for creating professional, visually-pleasing videos for the workforce. You will be a part of a team and will assist with coordinating each assigned project from concept through completion consulting extensively with clients to elicit project requirements and establish and communicate timelines and milestones. You will collaborate with team members as needed to ensure technical solutions are implemented to meet project requirements. The successful applicant will have good communication skills, be well organized, with demonstrated strong skills as a video producer, script writer, editor and camera operator. A portfolio showing recent examples of your video work demonstrating your shooting, editing, video script writing, or animation skills is required. A digital portfolio is required as internal/external URLs. Applicants without a current portfolio will not be considered.
This ideal candidate should be familiar with the video production work flow and have extensive experience as a producer, videographer, or animator and some video script writing experience. Familiarity with Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, and experience as a video / cinematic camera operator is also highly desirable.
Video Center Multimedia Producers are required to be able to work independently and also as part of a team. They must be able to serve as both leaders who can bring a team together to complete a production and team members to contribute to another production under the guidance of another producer. Multimedia Producers must be able to work with customers, stake holders and managers across organizational lines. Multimedia Producers must also be willing to go where the project leads them and be prepared to travel TDY when required. The responsibilities of a
Multimedia Producer include:
' Analyzing corporate or customer requirements to develop, design, and deliver communication strategies or products
' Conceptualizing, coordinating, and producing video productions.
' Developing and disseminating multimedia products, integrating text, computer graphics, conventional art, photographs, or other media.
' Drafting storyboards for production and editing video products.
' Operating production equipment (for example, audio, video, projection, and lighting).
' Recording live, staged, or scripted productions (for example, events, and interviews).
' Applying guidelines for ensuring that information and/or materials are accessible for persons with disabilities.
