Specialist II, Grand Theatre Front of House Assistant (Part Time)

Job Summary
Assist the Patron Services Coordinator of the Grand Theatre with Front-of-House operations, including: ushering, box office operations, concessions, customer relations, reporting, and other duties as assigned.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
Problem solve patron issues with tickets, subscriptions, seats, etc…
Troubleshoot basic software, printer, equipment, and scanner issues quickly during peak hours.
Fill-out end of shift reports for front-of-house operations and concessions.
Cross-train as a box office employee, usher, and concessions operator; and to assist where needed during peak hours
To monitor front-of-house operations and assist patrons during Grand Theatre performances and SLCC functions.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties Continued
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in cash register operation, ticketing software, basic financial reporting, and customer service preferred.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
Graduation from an accredited high school or its equivalent is required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Basic computer knowledge needed.
Ability to communicate effectively in person, via email/telephone, and in writing.
Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve quickly and efficiently.
Flexible availability- afternoons, evenings and weekends needed.
Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships across the College. Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic background of community college students, faculty and staff, including those with disabilities.
