We seek a Chief of Staff to run our business operations, help drive executive strategy and communication, and ensure employees have what they need to be informed, challenged and successful. A Chief of Staff handles day-to-day business operations on behalf of the team leader. Machine Intelligence Chief of Staff serves to field, funnel and filter requests, connecting people and opportunities, and acts as a liaison for many business functions (Finance, Facilities, Human Resources, Intern Programs, and more). Key responsibilities: Strategic support for organizational leaders: * Drive strategic processes: ensure leadership team is communicating with clarity and transparency to the organization and taking effective action on engineering roadmap and team culture initiatives * Collect and consolidate inputs from organization leaders pertaining to key strategic areas. Make recommendations from the organization level point of view * Streamline logistics: Coordinate, lead, track key logistical tasks such as space planning, headcount planning and management, talent and compensation planning, budget and more * Improve culture: Help identify cultural areas for improvement and promote diversified initiatives into action Organization-wide communication: Chief of Staff is responsible for for running recurring strategic and operational meetings, such as weekly staff, monthly all-managers, off sites, org events. - Assemble and make the agenda available before the meeting begins - Collect and prepare content - Capture notes and action items - Ensure actions are tracked and executed * Develop and execute on communication plans for the organization * Create informational and concise emails, documents, and presentations * Deliver overall planning and execution of All Hands meetings, including end-to-end logistics, working with the MI leadership team to design the agenda, collect and prepare content, support delivery, and solicit and organize employee feedback to share with leadership * Plan and implement strategy for All Hands, project reviews and other team meetings * Build and maintain the organization's internal web presence - produce newsletters, draft MI announcements and presentations, provide feedback to the teams before shared with the leadership team Finance and planning: * Manage annual program budget forecast & tracking in accordance with monthly and quarterly finance reviews * Manage headcount across full-time employees, contractors, visiting academics, interns and other fixed-term employees Operations and facilities: * Oversee location & space planning, capacity management, secure building access and resumption planning

Education & Experience

Bachelors or Masters preferred
