Are you passionate about being at the forefront of new, key technologies in consumer products? We are the Product Systems Quality team, and we perform compliance testing to ensure wide compatibility of our products and peripherals. We are seeking an inquisitive and motivated Systems Test Engineer with excellent data analysis and problem-solving capabilities. You will contribute to the high-quality of Apple's world-changing products from early prototypes to final designs. Our team works across product lines and you'll work on Mac, iPad, iPhone, and accessories! Come join our team!

Key Qualifications

  • 3+ years of QA experience testing USB, Thunderbolt devices
  • Experience with USB protocol compliance testing
  • Familiarity in debugging with logic analyzers and use of oscilloscopes
  • Experience multitasking in a fast-paced cross-functional environment
  • Ability to think creatively, problem-solve, and innovate


You will take ownership of driving quality to ensure that a wide range of USB devices work with Apple products. This includes validating compliance protocols for USB, Thunderbolt and DisplayPort. Additionally, you will analyze test results and work with engineering teams, program managers, and other QA teams to identify risk areas and characterize defects that rarely reproduce. You'll have an opportunity to automate tests when appropriate to improve the test coverage and give depth to the issues we find.

Education & Experience

- BS, CS, EE, CE, or equivalent experience

Additional Requirements

  • Nice to have:
  • - Automation script development using Python or Shell Scripting
  • - Able to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
