Description

The State of Connecticut Judicial Branch, Facilities Unit is seeking a Facilities Specialist I whose responsibilities will include: conducts facility inspections and identifies items to be addressed with proposed action plans; monitors the Unit's web-based work order system and dispatches service calls; acts as a liaison with other operating units, agencies and outside officials regarding Facilities programs; assists with the administration of preventative maintenance contracts; assists with code related projects; problem resolution and lease compliance in Judicial occupied lease space; maintaining capital project priority list; prepares reports and correspondence; performs related duties as required.

The selected candidate will respond to after hour emergency situations as necessary.

Starting Salary $74,995 – plus State of Connecticut benefits

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING

General Experience:  Five years of professional experience in the field of facilities management.

Substitution Allowed:

1) College training may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen semester hours equaling one-half year of experience to a maximum of four years for a Bachelor's degree.

2) One year as an Administrative Trainee in the Facilities Unit may be substituted for the General Experience.

 

Special Requirements: Incumbents may be required to travel in the course of their daily work.
