Key Qualifications

  • Solid technical understanding of Localization Workflows, Software Development, and Software QA.
  • Experience working with content management databases and localization tools.
  • Consistent record of localization project management, testing and bug tracking
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management skills with a demonstrated ability to work independently in a distributed team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal cross-functional communication skills and experience
  • Native-level fluency in one or more languages besides English, verbal and written
  • Experience with planning, managing, and delivering multiple projects within very tight timeframes
  • High level of focus and meticulous attention to detail to the job
  • Ability to identify and prioritize key deliverables and call out blockers, as soon as they arise, to the multi-functional partners.
  • Ability to be flexible, highly organized, and respond quickly and enthusiastically to often rapidly changing direction.
  • Ability to be inventive, able to handle complex situations and deadlines, have very good analytical skills, and strong aim to learn and succeed.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Computer science degree and/or experience with JavaScript, Cocoa, Python, C++, Swift or other OO languages.
  • Experience with QA automation, processes, and tools is a plus.
  • Competence working on the macOS and iOS platforms, and familiarity with Apple UI and Terminology is desired.

Description

This role requires planning localization efforts, coordinating projects with other producers in the team, working with translation vendors locally and internationally, and interacting with multiple partner departments across Apple. You will be using the translated software hands-on, writing and communicating QA plans, supporting QA efforts in the localization lab, triaging and fixing bugs, and ultimately help deliver high quality localized products on time in up to 40 languages simultaneously. You will also be maintaining content in various databases. You will be technically involved, quick to recognize and raise issues, and communicate status effectively. This role is based in Austin, TX

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in project management or localization.
