The Security Tools team at Apple is looking for exceptional candidates to enhance compiler support and design language features to improve the security and safety of C, C++, and Objective-C. - A passion for improving the security of software by building innovative language features and easy-to-use developer tools.
- Proficiency in development in C and C++. Objective-C experience is not required.
- Experience with compiler development is not required but is helpful.
- Understanding of past, current, and emerging security exploits is a plus.

This position offers the rare opportunity to create tools that will be used to protect security of Apple platforms used by the millions of users! You'll join a small and focused team but will also work closely with the software engineering organization within Apple. In your engineering role you will:
Collaborate with teammates through pull requests, in-person conversations, and Slack.
Develop new features, fix interesting bugs, write tests, and review your teammates' code.
Help grow strong open-source communities for Clang/LLVM.
Work closely with the developer tools organization we are colocated with to create a great developer experience.
Collaborate with security engineers, programming language designers, and operating systems engineers to improve the quality and security of software in Apple's ecosystem.
Build expertise in and responsibility for specific components of Clang/LLVM. Here you will find that we:
