This is an exciting opportunity, rich in analysis and playing a critical role in supporting strategic decision making. This role will report to the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis and will contribute to the overall financial planning, analysis, and reporting for AppleTV+. The analyst's responsibilities will include but not be limited to analyzing content costs and associated business expenses for Apple's streaming platform. As this is a startup initiative within Apple, the right person for this role will be hands on and should be able to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment while juggling multiple priorities.

Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years of finance or accounting experience required
  • Television production or entertainment media experience preferred
  • Proven track record of performing financial analysis
  • Experience with SAP, Essbase, Tableau and advanced knowledge of Excel preferred
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, manage multiple projects, grasp new concepts, problem solve
  • Ability to work comfortably with high level of ambiguity and complexity
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

Description

Contribute to preparation of monthly forecasts, quarterly close, and annual long-range plan, including assistance with variance analyses Assist in close financial process including management of calendar, preparation of journal entries and creating management reporting package Work on maintaining latest budget details, financial deal terms, and asset/title commitment status Collaborate in process of tracking content asset spend by-title and reconciling commitments to latest cost reports, actual cash spend, and latest/actual tax credit incentives Contribute to updating and reconciling content asset statistical/financial data through systems Assist with Podcast slate cost and expense forecasting Actively engage with other Apple divisions and departments in coordination of financial information and deliverables Aid in the implementation, design and testing of IS&T projects to support business growth Contribute to ad-hoc financial analysis as needed by business

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • CPA or MBA preferred
