Sodexo Corporate Services has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager, Area Support (Food) for the Atlanta, GA area, supporting a high profile business dining account with multiple locations. We are looking for a "Hands On" Senior Area Manager Support Food who is able to become part of a high energy team, who is laser focused, creative and imaginative with a discriminatory eye for detail and excellent business acumen to be our Culinary Leader.

Seeking an individual that will be the senior culinarian for the Conerly VPO region (Georgia & Florida). This person must be organized, tech savvy, self directed, sanitary and a great teacher. This chef will assist with implementation of new initiatives, act as a liaison to the VP, assist with onboarding new chefs in the region and make many site visits to ensure standards are being met and exceeded.

This person will have prior experience managing a diverse style operation with proven results. Responsibilities include area culinary leadership, menu development, hands on cooking, culinary system, opening new business, cost management, training of production staff, and food safety programs. The ideal Senior Manager, Area Support (Food) candidate will have exceptional communication skills, an eye for high end restaurant quality food, and a high level of organization. A strong focus in customer service, culinary expertise, and attention to detail are key in our selection process. This position will report directly to the Vice President.

Position Summary
  • Culinary Creativity: Follows culinary trends and innovates, is able to translate ideas into unique menu and recipe programs that advance the culinary experience for the client/customers
  • Compliance: Ensures compliance with industry standards, and accredited organizations of local, state and federal standards and other regulatory requirements, as well as with Sodexo's templates and standards for customer service. Provide expert advice and guidance relating to standards and practices for food production, delivery, inventory management, and culinary services. Provide operational support to existing and prospective client accounts. Conduct unit operational assessments and financial analyses. Visit and inspect current accounts, providing objective feedback based on operational standards and ensure contractual and regulatory compliance.
  • Training: Must be able to articulate and demonstrate a wide range variety of cooking techniques and skills for the management and hourly staff (presentation, quality, safety, proper culinary techniques Communicate the Division's retail strategy and provide input to area leadership on its implementation within a region. Recommends changes in operations based on standards, identify appropriate resources, and assist in implementation plans. Conduct inspection tours of facilities to provide information needed to develop a proposal for prospective clients.
  • Financial/Growth: Ability to manage and demonstrate proven results with food costs, labor and controllable expenses. Supports the sales process by assisting with operations and costing analyses, and by providing technical support in the development of service proposals. Ensure that area meets specific targets for reduction of food cost through implementation of food production systems and purchasing compliance. Ensure that area meets specific targets for implementation of purchasing/product compliance and product rationalization.
  • Leadership: Ability to effectively manage and communicate with Culinary Staff, key staff and stakeholders, management teams

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Functional Experience - 3 years
