Join our Sensing and Connectivity team to work on the next generation of cutting-edge Location Technologies on iOS devices and the revolutionary AppleWatch. In this position, you will be a critical key player collaborating with developers to test and qualify innovative emergency location related features. You will be part of a highly energetic team that has delivered amazing location technologies such as cellular & indoor location technologies to help users in the most needed emergency scenarios. The Software Location QE Team is seeking a motivated, highly technical and comprehensive individual to help us test and qualify the next generation of features in order to deliver the best location experience for our customers.

Key Qualifications

  • 3+ years of solid understanding of Assisted-GNSS, cellular location technologies and 3GPP conformance test specification
  • Deep understanding of QA methodologies and processes
  • Knowledge of scripting languages: e.g. Python, shell scripting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a reciprocal environment and can communicate clearly while expertly driving multiple projects across several teams


The Software Location QE team undertakes special projects for the Sensing and Connectivity groups at Apple. These projects have ranged from developing data crowdsourcing systems to prototyping apps & features for future OS releases. Our team is looking for an engineer with deep understanding of emergency location technologies to continue to improve the reliability and robustness of our proprietary system. In this role you will work closely with hardware and software developers to ensure features are developed with high quality and performance. As a bonus, you will be among the first to receive unreleased prototypes to test.

Education & Experience

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
