We are looking for a Planer Supervisor to join our team in Randle, WA. The ideal candidate would be responsible for leading the Planer production team in a safe manner, while producing a quality product that meets the set goals. This person is responsible for managing the workflow, troubleshooting when necessary, and assisting in the overall improvement of the operation. This person will assist in the development of current employees, help train new employees, and fill-in as necessary. Work schedule: Day shift, Monday through Thursday, flexible as needed. Overtime is expected when necessary. Starting salary wage is based on qualifications. Production Bonuses are possible for every employee each month, based on the plant site's target goals.

  • Maintain and follow all company safety standards, procedures, and policies. Provide necessary safety training as required.
  • Ensure performance goals are communicated with employees, while overseeing the daily workflow
  • Provide assistance, guidance, and coaching support when needed
  • Evaluate performance, conduct reviews, and provide feedback
  • Identify areas for improvement and communicate to the appropriate person
  • Resolve any employee concerns and/or issues
  • Train new employees
  • Assist with hiring new employees as needed
  • Manage employee absences and track time
  • Support the crew while fostering an environment that employees benefit from

  • High School Diploma and/or equivalent.
  • Previous supervisor or leadership experience is preferred, but not required
  • Manufacturing experience, knowledge of lumber grades
  • Will support Hampton's Continuous Improvement efforts
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work as a part of a team
  • High degree of integrity, honest and forthcoming with information
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Maintain and encourage a positive work environment.
  • Ability to think critically, analyze situations, and offer solutions
