The Camera & Photos team focuses on creating surprising and delightful user experiences by demonstrating CV/ML (Computer Vision and Machine Learning) coupled with advanced image processing to create next-generation features like Portrait Mode, Memories, and a personalized Curated Library. Together the seamless integration of hardware and software deliver experiences that are magical. We are seeking a Software Quality Engineer with strong technical skills, an understanding of camera technologies, and a sharp eye for detail. In this role, you will work very closely with the Camera Development team and multi-functional teams to ensure product quality. In addition to the Key Qualifications noted, this role requires a high degree of self-motivation, problem solving expertise, flexibility and the ability to adjust to rapid change.
- Thorough understanding of Software Development and QA methodologies.
- Proven history of designing, documenting, and implementing quality plans and test cases for performance and functional testing.
- Creating and maintaining QA test automation is highly desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative team environment.
- 3+ Years Software QA experience required.
This position requires a self-motivated camera / photography enthusiast with strong QA experience and a passion for high quality software. You will work closely with engineers and your peers in QA to design, create, implement and maintain manual and automated test suites and be responsible for reporting on testing progress and the overall "health" of your feature area(s) throughout the development cycle. You will create problem reports and then track their resolution through to resolution; create targeted tools to help facilitate testing for yourself and others; and document both your planning and test execution.
Education & Experience
B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
