By collaborating with other product development groups across Apple, you'll push the industry boundaries of what batteries can do and improve the product experience for our customers across the world! In this role, you will create behavioral models of components to simulate the electrical and thermal performance of battery management units (BMU) for next generation consumer electronic products. You will collaborate with power electronics designers, system teams, component suppliers, PCB and battery pack vendors to develop behavioral models, create simulation infrastructure, capture use cases in simulations, and validate the models with manufacturing data.

Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years in CAD modeling of analog and mixed-signal systems
  • Proficiency in SystemVerilog, VerilogA and Verilog modeling
  • Strong EE fundamentals in analog and digital concepts and topologies
  • Competency in the Cadence mixed-signal verification environment, analog and mixed-signal simulation methodologies
  • Experience in creating use cases from complex analog and mixed-signal systems from specifications

Description

- Create verification environment in Cadence for analog and mixed-signal simulations - Analyze the design with simulation tools and calculations to verify its conformance to the requirements - Create simulation use cases from system level specifications - Serve as liaison to communicate with component vendors, request, and build behavioral models of components - Communicate with internal system teams to build simulation test benches of use cases

Education & Experience

BS EE required and MS EE preferred

Additional Requirements

  • Experience in Matlab programming
  • Experience in writing scripts in languages such as Perl or Python
  • Experience with thermal modeling
