We are looking for a Boiler-Kiln Supervisor to join our team in Randle, WA. The ideal candidate would be responsible for leading the Boiler-Kiln team in a safe manner, while producing a quality product that meets the set goals. The Boiler-Kiln Supervisor will be team and goals oriented with all crew members and departments, and have a positive attitude while projecting a positive image when promoting safe teamwork. This person will also have intimate knowledge of boiler and kiln operations and be capable of training teams. Will perform coordination of all rough lumber forklifts, vacation and absence relief for all Boiler-Kiln positions on all shifts, and assist with a wide variety of Boiler-Kiln associated duties including but not limited to: Boiler-Kiln maintenance and PM, trouble shooting and Kiln schedule development. This person will also be responsible for the quality of lumber from the Kilns and will work directly with the QC Supervisor to achieve optimal results. This position is also responsible for compliance regarding all environmental concerns/requirements. Work schedule: Day shift, Monday through Friday, flexible as needed. Overtime is expected when necessary. Starting salary wage is based on qualifications. Production Bonuses are possible for every employee each month, based on the plant site's target goals.

  • Maintain and follow all company safety standards, procedures, and policies. Provide necessary safety training as required.
  • Ensure performance goals are communicated with employees, while overseeing the daily workflow
  • Provide assistance, guidance, and coaching support when needed
  • Evaluate performance, conduct reviews, and provide feedback
  • Identify areas for improvement and communicate to the appropriate person
  • Resolve any employee concerns and/or issues
  • Assist with hiring and training new employees as needed
  • Manage employee absences and track time
  • Support the crew while fostering an environment that employees benefit from

  • Experience with hog fuel/diesel fired boiler and kiln drying preferred
  • High School Diploma and/or equivalent.
  • Previous supervisor or leadership experience is preferred, but not required
  • Manufacturing experience, knowledge of lumber grades
  • Will support Hampton's Continuous Improvement efforts
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work as a part of a team
  • High degree of integrity, honest and forthcoming with information
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
