Quality Analyst

Business Group:  Customer Support and Maintenance

Business Unit:  Asset Management and Reliability

Reports to:  Operations Manager

The Quality Analyst maintains overall responsibility for the planning, direction, and management of the Quality Management System for the remanufacturing facilities in Mequon, WI and Munster, IN.  In addition to ensuring strict process requirements are adhered to. The Quality Analyst is also responsible for the integrity of shop floor data collection to ensure operational decisions are made using reliable data.

This role reports to the North American Operations Manager and is located in Munster, IN.

What you will do

  • Implement and maintain the Quality Management System(s) and associated third party registrations
  • Conducts audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audit-finding reports and determines proper corrective and preventive actions.
  • Analyzes product failures and initiates the corrective and preventive actions required to respond to customer complaints.
  • Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for process-related concerns.
  • Support Operations, Sales, and Engineering with specific product and process data as required for data-based decision making
  • Apply Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methodologies to manufacturing processes and process improvement initiatives
  • Tracking of vendor quality metrics in support of Supply Chain Management
  • Ensure changes in processes, materials, and vendors do not negative effect safety, product quality, or compliance
  • Develops and conducts training as required to build quality awareness.
  • Interacts with customers to resolve concerns in a timely and effective manner
  • Interfaces with Engineering and Operations to ensure that new products transferred to Production are manufactured in accordance with approved processes

Preferred qualifications

  • Certified Internal Lead Auditor
  • Green belt certification in Lean Six Sigma
  • Black belt certification in Lean Six Sigma
  • Experience working in a service based industry
  • Capable of developing templates and managing electronic workflow
  • Familiar with and capable of managing corrective actions through others
  • Willing and able to perform periodic travel, 10% of the time

Basic qualifications

  • 4 year degree in Industrial Engineering Technology or equivalent
