Unit Description

You provide an experience that goes beyond the meal. It's about how they feel when they're your guest - from the time they walk into the cafe, to the time they leave.

Sodexo is seeking a Food Operations Manager 2 for St. Elizabeth's Medical Center located in Brighton, MA. This position will supervise a team of approx. 30 client, union staff, have oversight of patient services, patient tray-line, patient feeding, and other duties as assigned. The hours for this role are generally 11a-7:30p with every 4th weekend required and rotating holidays.

The successful candidate will:

  • have oversight of day-to-day operations;
  • successfully coordinate all required tasks through subordinate managers, supervisors and frontline staff;
  • deliver high quality food services including retail, catering and patient meal management operations;
  • achieve company and client financial targets and goals;
  • develop and maintain client and customer relationships (i.e., comfortable in c-suite settings where communication skills are imperative when serving as top level site management)
  • develop strategic plans;
  • ensure HACCP, regulatory and standards compliance;
  • have daily interaction with patients, their families and clinical team to ensure patient satisfaction;
  • create a positive environment; and/or
  • ensure Sodexo standards are met.

Position Summary

Provides leadership and supervision for the on-site food service exempt and non-exempt level staff in the delivery of our contractual agreement with the client. - Ensures adherence to all HR standards for Sodexo, client, and regulatory agencies


Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
